Soccer Talk with Tyler Green and Simon Fudge is back for the June 23rd edition - presented by Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy, as they broadcast from Barber and Co. studio locations in both Europe and Vancouver.

On this episode, Tyler talks about his experiences at EURO 2016, as he gets ready to return home after taking in several games and the scenery of France over the past couple of weeks.

Simon, meanwhile, reports from Vancouver on Whitecaps FC’s 1-0 defeat at Toronto FC in the first leg of this year’s Amway Canadian Championship final. We hear from head coach Carl Robinson, goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi, and midfielder Ben McKendry following Tuesday’s disappointing result at BMO Field. Can the Whitecaps turn the one-goal deficit around and defend their Voyageurs Cup title at BC Place next Wednesday night? Simon and Tyler give their thoughts on what should be an intriguing second leg.

In the second half, Tyler and Simon focus on EURO 2016 and the events, both on and off the pitch, in France. They also look back on a dramatic group stage and ahead to this weekend’s mouth-watering encounters in the Round of 16.

All that, plus ‘Simon Says’ on the June 23rd version of Soccer Talk!

Soccer Talk with Tyler Green and Simon Fudge is back for the June 10th edition - presented by Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy, as they broadcast from Barber and Co. studio locations in both Europe and Vancouver.

On this episode, Tyler gears up for EURO 2016 by taking in the sights of London, England, and Bruges, Belgium, before heading to France for European soccer’s showpiece event. Simon, meanwhile, reports from Vancouver on Whitecaps FC’s successful passage through to this year’s Amway Canadian Championship final after overcoming a first-leg deficit to defeat NASL side Ottawa Fury 3-0 at BC Place on Wednesday night for a 3-2 aggregate result in their semifinal series.

We hear from head coach Carl Robinson, centre back Tim Parker, and midfielder Nicolas Mezquida on what was a thoroughly committed, professional performance by Whitecaps FC in the second leg. We also get the thoughts from a disappointed Fury head coach Paul Dalglish, who saw his side struggle against an experienced Vancouver line-up.

Tyler and Simon also discuss the build-up to EURO 2016, with Tyler finding a lack of buzz in both England and Belgium during his travels this week. Simon, however, reveals a sense of anticipation for the tournament in Vancouver’s many social establishments.

We also hear from Metrotown Physio’s Marc Rizzardo before he embarks on his own trip to Europe and a holiday in Italy. Marc gives his thoughts on a variety of recent soccer and sports medicine-related topics, as well as his predictions for EURO 2016.

All that, plus ‘Simon Says’ on the June 10th version of Soccer Talk!

Soccer Talk with Tyler Green and Simon Fudge is back for the June 3rd edition - presented by Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy, as they broadcast from the Barber and Co. studios.

On this episode, Tyler and Simon discuss Whitecaps FC’s disastrous start to the defence of their Voyageurs Cup title. Did the youngsters that played the first-leg defeat at Ottawa Fury let head coach Carl Robinson down? Facing a 2-0 deficit in next Wednesday’s second leg at BC Place, how strong of a side should the Whitecaps play to turn this semifinal series around?

As Canadian champions, Whitecaps FC will play in the 2016-17 CONCACAF Champions League. On Monday, the Blue and White were drawn with MLS Western Conference rivals Sporting Kansas City and Trinidad & Tobago’s Central FC. Did Vancouver get a winnable group or were you hoping to see the ‘Caps play a high-profile club from Mexico’s Liga MX?

It’s summer tournament time! Tyler and Simon give their predictions for the Copa America Centenario, which starts Friday in the United States, as well as EURO 2016, with Tyler heading to Europe this weekend to take in some of the action in France. Before he left, Tyler and Simon gave their thoughts on what to expect at European soccer’s showpiece event when the action begins next Friday, June 10.

All that, plus a South Pacific version of ‘Simon Says’ on the June 3rd version of Soccer Talk!
