The Canadian Soccer Association are set to make some important announcements this week involving both the men’s and women’s national teams. Soccer Talk with Tyler Green and Simon Fudge is back for the April 7th edition - presented by Metrotown Orthopedic & Sports Physiotherapy, as they broadcast from the Barber and Co. studios.

On this episode, Tyler and Simon discuss the Whitecaps goalless draw with LA Galaxy last weekend. After seeing Matias Laba sent off in the first half of the 0-0 draw at BC Place, have MLS referees been left unsure how to interpret challenges in games under this season’s new disciplinary directive?

Whitecaps captain Pedro Morales and winger Kekuta Manneh are the latest injury concerns for Whitecaps FC. We speak to Metrotown Physio’s Marc Rizzardo about the pair, as well as some other injury-related topics.

Simon Fudge also goes 1v1 with Whitecaps midfielder Marco Bustos.

Tyler and Simon also look ahead to Sunday’s home opener in USL for the undefeated Whitecaps FC 2, debate if anyone outside of Edmonton or Ottawa cares all that much for the NASL, and wonder if Canadian women’s national team goalkeeper Erin McLeod’s written confirmation that she tore the ACL in her knee read more like a retirement announcement.
